Jamie Sams, a member of the Wolf Clan Teaching Lodge, has spent many years reclaiming and reviving for new generations the wisdom and beauty of Native American Women's Medicine and the vibrant teachings of the Thirteen Original Clan Mothers. Representing various aspects of the feminine principle, the Clan Mothers serve as role models and Spirit Teachers on the personal journey of fulfillment for women and men, and as crucial pathways of healing for a planet dominated by destructive and divisive models.
Here Sams combines the record of a rich oral tradition - passed on to her by two Kiowa Grandmothers, Cisi Laughing Crow and Berta Broken Bow - and the personal healing and guidance she has experienced through her female Elders.
