Author Biography

George Orwell (Motihari, 1903 – Londres, 1950), sobrenombre de Eric Arthur Blair, fue un escritor y periodista británico. Cultivó casi todos los géneros de la palabra escrita, desarrollando desde crónica periodística hasta ensayo, cuento y novela. Sus obras más conocidas, golpes de autoridad ante la amenaza del totalitarismo, son 1984 y Rebelión en la granja, clásicos de lectura prescrita para las juventudes del mundo.

George Orwell (Motihari, 1903 – London, 1950), nickname of Eric Arthur Blair, was a British writer and journalist. He cultivated almost all genres of the written word, developing everything from journalistic chronicles to essays, short stories and novels. His best-known works, coups of authority in the face of the threat of totalitarianism, are 1984 and Animal Farm, classics prescribed reading for the youth of the world.
