Summary

Author Biography

Deane Neubauer is Emeritus Professor of Political Science at the University of Hawaii, Manoa, and Senior Consultant to the International Forum for Education 2020 at the East-West Center. He has a long-standing interest in globalization and its effects across multiple aspects of government, policy, and society. Yoshiro Tanaka is a Professor of Comparative and International Higher Education at J.F. Oberlin University in Tokyo, where he also holds the position of Executive Director of the Organization for Comprehensive Research. Prior to joining J.F. Oberlin University in 2005, he served as Professor and Chairperson at Tamagawa University's Department of Education in Machida, Tokyo, Japan.
