Author Biography

Tim Bartlett is a former Naval Officer, professional yacht skipper and Yachtmaster Instructor who is now a freelance yachting journalist specialising in navigation, communications, and electronics. He also trains RYA Radar Instructors and Powerboat Instructors, and is an SRC (radio licence) Assessor. He writes regularly for boating magazines worldwide and is the author of The RYA Book of Navigation, The RYA Book of Diesel Engines and The RYA Book of Outboard Motors, all published by Adlard Coles Nautical.
