Summary

This friendly and practical book is the guide to how to teach adults. Now in its 4th edition, the book has been extensively rewritten to meet the needs of those working with adults at the beginning of the 21st century. The book answers questions such as, 'How do adults really learn?', 'How can I put over my material in a way that will interest and excite people?' 'How can I manage my group so that the confident people don't dominate and the quieter ones get a look in?' This book is aimed at anyone who wants to know how to teach adults. It will help people who teach adults in a wide range of settings - from traditional adult education institutes, universities, management training courses to government training schemes.
