Author Biography

Wim Pelupessy is Senior Lecturer in Development Economics in the Faculty of Economic Sciences of Tilburg University, The Netherlands. He is also Senior Research Fellow at the Development Research Institute in Tilburg. Ruerd Ruben is Senior Lecturer in Development Economics in the Department of Economics and Management of Wageningen Agricultural University, The Netherlands. He is also Executive Secretary of the Board of the Foundation for Rural Development Research in Amsterdam.
