Author Biography

David Shannon is the award-winning illustrator of more than twenty books for children, and Alice the Fairy is the ninth book he has also written himself. His many awards include a Caldecott Honor for his beloved No, David!, which was followed by two more best-selling "David" picture books: David Goes to School. and David Gets in Trouble. He lives in Southern California with his wife, Heidi, their young daughter, Emma, and their West Highland terrier, Fergus.
