Author Biography

Robert Lawrence France is an associate professor of watershed management in the department of environmental sciences in the faculty of agriculture at DalhousieUniversity and a science advisor to the Center of Technology and the Environment at HarvardUniversity. He is the author of more than a dozen books, including TheHandbook of Landscape Regenerative Development and Design; The Handbook of Water Sensitive Planning and Design; Ultreia! Onward! Progress of the Pilgrim;Veniceland Atlantis: The Bleak Future of the World’s Favorite City; and Wetlands of Mass Destruction: Ancient Presage for Contemporary Ecocide in Southern Iraq. He lives in Truro, Nova Scotia.
