Summary

The 100 Days campaign was, in terms of its sheer scale, the greatest victory in British military history. The British had never before-and never since-deployed an Army of this size, 59 divisions, all for a single theatre of war. The British had no great numerical superiority over the German forces facing them, yet in three months of continuous offensive operations, the British Empire Forces played the biggest part in bringing the German Empire to its knees. Amiens to the Armistice rescues the campaign from the relative obscurity into which it has fallen and provides a thorough analysis fit for any enthusiast of British military history.
