Summary

Anatomy of Mass Media is a new anthology for the undergraduate Introduction to Mass Communication course. The selections included in Anatomy of Mass Media are culled from some of the most popular textbooks in higher education today and written by some of the most respected writers in media studies. In addition to the diverse educational writers contributing to this anthology, a number of creative professionals give guidance on pursuing careers in entertainment, the persuasion industries, and media at large. Dianah Wynter is an associate professor at California State University, Northridge where she teaches in the Department of Cinema and Television Arts. Courses she has taught include Advanced Television Directing, Introduction to Television Production, Media and Society, and Introduction to Mass Media Film as Literature.
