Summary

"For millions of motorcycle riders, it is the ultimate dark, seductive fantasy - to be a Hells Angel. But as two of today's top investigative journalists have discovered, the reality of the world's foremost bikers' gang is darker and deadlier than anyone could imagine - indeed, they are America's major international crime export. With an estimated 2,500 full-patch members in twenty-five countries, the Hells Angels have inspired a global structure of biker gangs that are among the most feared and violent underworld players." "Julian Sher and William Marsden take readers to Arizona, inside the biggest American police undercover operation to penetrate the brotherhood; to British Columbia, where wealthy bikers dominate the organized crime pyramid of Canada; to Australia, where the "bikies" shoot it out with police; to Curacao, where terrorist organizations funnel drugs to Dutch bikers; and to the streets of Oslo, Copenhagen, and Helsinki, where a murderous biker war turns Scandinavia into a battle zone. Police who have infiltrated biker gangs reveal the challenges, fears, and horrors they've discovered going undercover. The authors show how law enforcement agencies worldwide are trying to stop - with little success - the biker gangs from spreading their violent outlaw creed around the world."--BOOK JACKET.
