The consolidated reprinting of all corrections and revisions to the AACR2R text! For the first time, AACR2R is available in perfectly parallel print and electronic formats, both of them produced from the same base SGML file. This will allow catalogers to move freely back and forth between both formats. The 1998 Revision includes all changes and corrections authorized by the Joint Steering Committee for Revision of AACR since 1988, including Amendments authorized through 1997. For students and others who use AACR2-e (electronic) online through a library school or library but do not have their own CD-ROM copy, the integrated reprint is a handy study device that correlates 100 percent with the electronic version.
