Author Biography

Evan Spring, a freelance writer, hosts a jazz radio program on WKCR in New York City. George Bassett, studied music theory with James Randall, Milton Babbitt, and Claudio Spies at Princeton University. Edward Berger is associate director of the Institute of Jazz Studies. Henry Martin is professor of music at Rutgers University, Newark. Dan Morgenstern is director of the Institute of Jazz Studies.
