Summary

Richard Ager sets out to meet the generic ICT needs of those seeking (or already holding) Qualified Teacher Status, as set out in the Expected Outcomes for the NOF-funded ICT training. The book also takes account of the TTA's National Curriculum for Initial Teacher Training. This aims 'to equip every teacher with the knowledge, skills, and understanding to make sound decisions about when, when not, and how to use ICT effectively in teaching particular subjects'. The book will meet an urgent need as most schools have or will shortly have access to the internet and e-mail through the National Grid for Learning, in addition to the extensive computing facilities which are now widespread.

Author Biography

Richard Ager is Project Director of the Leicestershire Consortium (an approved provider of ICT training for serving teachers and school librarians).
