Author Biography

John Malcolm Dowling has wide experience teaching and researching on Asian economic development topics. He has taught at the University of Colorado, USA, Reading University, UK, Melbourne University, Australia, Singapore Management University, Singapore, Thammasat University, Thailand, and served as Assistant Chief Economist at the Asian Development Bank, Manila, Philippines. He has published seven books, seven articles in books and over 60 journal articles. Pradumna Bickram Rana has taught and researched on topics related to Asian economic development and integration, and theories of financial crisis. He is an Associate Professor at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies of the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Prior to that, he was a Senior Director at the Asian Development Bank. He has also taught at the National University of Singapore, Tribhuvan University (Nepal), and Vanderbilt University (USA). Dr Rana has authored/co-authored and edited fifteen books and published over 40 journal articles.
