Summary

Walid Raad's most recent artist book (volume 3 of his series), consists of 17 plates from the bullet series entitled Let's Be Honest, The Weather Helped from 2007, and 35 plates from the series We Decided To Let Them Say 'We Are Convinced' from 2005. These two series concentrate on the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982, and on the trade and traffic in ammunition during the civil war years 1975 - 1990. This book was designed and conceived by Raad himself. Through performances, videos and photographs Walid Raad has created an alternative world. He founded The Atlas Group, a fictitious archive consisting of notebooks, films, video tapes, photographs and lectures about the civil war in Lebanon. English, Arabic and French text.
