Author Biography

A regular contributor to fashion and luxury publications including the International Herald Tribune, Irish-born Karl has spent over a half-decade living in the French capital. Passionate about haute couture, old-cut diamonds and heavy perfumes, he’s a faithful champion of the endurance of Paris’s uniqueness in the face of  increasingly global blandness.
 

Longtime Parisian Alain Bouldouyre, artistic director of Senso magazine, is the author of My Paris Sketchbook. There, in Figaro and Le Monde, and in the many travel guides he has illustrated for French publishers, he repeatedly demonstrates his finely honed ability to capture the spirit of place in line and color.
