Author Biography

John Holley, now retired, was Professor of Meteorology at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott, Arizona from 1979 to 1996, and has an extensive background in meteorology, climatology and geography with in-the-field experience that spans the globe: USAF Air Weather Service and meteorology degree; twenty-years of world-wide weather service experience before obtaining a BA in Geography (Central Washington State University), and an MSc degree in Climatology at the Universiy of Idaho; six years in southern Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer; lecturer in geography and climatology at University schools of Lesotho, Swaziland and Botswana; Private Pilot, Aircraft single-engine land (Cessna 152, 172).
