Summary

When humans come to the usually peaceful land of Peruna, which is run by centaurs and their king, Garnock, things go from bad to worse for the king. First the king's son is kidnapped by the humans, than, just when the king needs him most, his right-hand general disappears. A human shows up who turns out to be a friend for the centaurs. He in turn wants to find a lost cousing that he believes to be in Peruna. Just when things seem like they could get no worse, the humans attack harder than before and the centaurs are loosing when unexpected help comes to help turn the tide.Over the course of the story, the centaurs learn what it means to have unmoving faith and believe in God even when He seems farthest from them.
