Paying homage to Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein, author Alan Gettis and illustrator Kyle Wade have combined to give the reader over a hundred whimsical and zany poems. These "silly" poems are for both kids and grown-ups. Perfect for adults or older siblings to read to younger kids, and for kids eight and up to read themselves. The poems are laugh-out-loud funny with 100 whacky illustrations and many unforgettable characters such as Donut Man, Skinny Minnie, Zeke the Geek, and Cannibal Carl. Kids will go back to this book again and again!
Dr. Alan Gettis is a clinical psychologist who is well steeped in both Western psychology and Eastern philosophy. In the 1960s Dr. Gettis was a Vietnam-era army psychologist stationed at a military hospital, and in the 1970s he was chief psychologist at a large mental health center in Northern New Jersey. Since 1974 he has maintained a private practice where he specializes in individual psychotherapy for adults.
