Author Biography

Lee W. Waldrep, PhD, the assistant director of undergraduate student services in the School of Architecture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, has more than fifteen years of experience in higher education with an emphasis in academic affairs and the career development field of architecture students. Waldrep holds a Ph.D. in counseling and development from The American University and a master of architecture from Arizona State University. A frequent lecturer on the topics of careers in architecture, he has previously been associate executive director of the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB), associate dean at the School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation at the University of Maryland, and assistant dean at the College of Architecture at Illinois Institute of Technology.
