The book teaches readers the basics of building web sites in HTML5 and CSS3. It begins by talking about different versions of HTML and CSS, and describes how modern web pages should use structure and semantics to describe their contents. Wrapping up the book shows how to take advantage of the jQuery library and how users can implement powerful JavaScripts without an in-depth knowledge of the language. This features examples such as hiding and showing content, image rotators, sliding panels of text, and tabbed content.
