Author Biography

Mary Gribbin works in education in East Sussex and writes books about science for children, as well as her collaborations with John Gribbin for older readers. She has long had a special interest in the history of exploration, and is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. John Gribbin is a Visiting Fellow in Astronomy at the University of Sussex, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, and the author of books about science for adults. He was a member of a team that used data from the Hubble Space Telescope to determine the age of the Universe. Ralph Edney is the brilliant illustrator of Introducing Time, Introducing Fractal Geometry and Introducing Learning and Memory. A cricket fanatic, he lives in London. Nicholas Halliday lives in London and is a designer, illustrator, author and actor. His beautifully illustrated book, 21st Century Space Missions, sold over 150,000 copies.
