Summary

"Biker Tales" is Michael E. Murray's autobiography in eighty-two short stories. His incredible, exciting life starts with childhood, growing up lower middle class with seven brothers and sisters. His early art career and high school mischief led him to become a professional sports car racer. His other intervals include living in the "hood', politics, and Harley-Davidson adventures. Michael has traveled to twelve countries, met interesting people, and learned their cultures. In the last chapter, he'll share the secrets for success that he teaches to at-risk teenagers in prison and high school. Expect to laugh, cry, and learn.

Author Biography

Artist, Real Estate Broker, Auctioneer, Sports Car Driver, Biker, Author
If you lived in Michael's neighborhood in the late 50s or early 60s, he pinstriped your bicycle. Starting his career as a pinstriping artist, he went to work for Wally Signs in Toledo, Ohio, and learned the art of sign painting. Upon high school graduation, he earned his journeyman's sign painters card with LU 546. Michael has lettered or pinstriped hundreds of exotic cars, classics, motorcycles, hot rods and motorcycles. He has five cars in or have been displayed in museums including the Henry Ford, Corvette, Gilmore, Indianapolis 500 and Fremont Speedway. The most famous car he pinstriped is the oldest Ford known to exist, 1903 #30 on display at Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan.
Michael also spent a career racing sports cars from 1967–1973 (Shelby GT350 and a Greenwood Corvette) on the SCCA National Circuit and IMSA FIA Endurance Circuit including the Daytona 24 Hour, Sebring, Florida 12-Hour, Watkins Glen, NY 6-Hour and Mid-Ohio 6-Hour.
In 1962, he bought his first Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He has ridden coast to coast including Alaska in 2013 (8,001 miles in 22 days) and was a founding member of the Toledo Chapter Harley Owners Group. 120,000 miles later he is still riding.
This book is a series of short stories about his life's adventures both here in America and around the world from childhood to his senior years. His tombstone will read, "If you can dream it you can do it!"
