Summary

The book will explain and demonstrate the use of botulinum toxin in combination with other modalities (combination therapy). This is a growing tool but one that needs a comprehensive understanding of how to use toxins in conjunction with other agents and the use of devices in order to achieve best results. As a result the need for physicians to think critically about their use of botulinum toxin, and to move away from 'routine' approaches has grown ever more important. Consensus approaches to best-practice are altering the way toxins are handled and applied: for example, the recent PRS review panel (of which the Editor of this book was involved) altered recommendations for a nunber of sites.
