Summary

Mary-Elaine Jacobsen has helped families transform their childrens behavior using a unique approach that centers on the concept of Privileges On/Privileges Off. If a child misbehaves, they can no longer enjoy any of their favorite activities until they make amends. Dr. Jacobson comprehensively explains each part of the program, with age-appropriate tips, and guides parents through: Identifying desired behavior Conveying expectations and consequences to children Revoking all privileges when the child crosses the line Having the child earn back privileges by apologizing for or correcting behavior. Parents dont need a nanny, they need an experienced licensed professional who can give them a system they can use to put an end to tantrums, arguing, and defiance.
