Summary

The Shrouded Man Saga concludes in a climactic battle for the fate of the Unnamed World! The brave clockwork soldier, CANTO, must face the powerful tyrant and return his real heart.

Before Canto’s journey began, his people had been enslaved, forbidden to have names or to love one another, their hearts taken and replaced with clocks. When Canto secretly fell in love with a clockwork girl, the slavers damaged her clock as punishment. Canto embarked on a fantastical quest to save her. He faced the evil sorcerer known as the Shrouded Man, only to learn there were no hearts left to repair his love. The vile wizard had destroyed them. Not all was lost, though. Returning home, Canto learned his people had taken courage from his quest and had overthrown their captors. Canto may not have saved his beloved, but his people were now free. 

Such precarious freedom did not last. The Shrouded Man struck again, pushing Canto on a new quest to protect his people. Canto traded his own clock to carry the ultimate weapon against the Shrouded Man—the wizard’s own heart! Now, the final battle against tyranny looms. With new allies and a weapon to save all of the Unnamed World, Canto will stand tall with all the allies he’s gathered and face his evil foe one last time.

Author Biography

DAVID M. BOOHER is a multiple Eisner­ and GLAAD nominated writer of comics, television, and film. His most recent comics work includes Eisner- and GLADD-nominated KILLER QUEENS (Dark Horse), Eisner-nominated RAIN (Image/Syzygy), CANTO (IDW), SPECS (Boom! Studios), ALL NEW FIREFLY (Boom! Studios), and DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: SATURDAY MORNING ADVENTURES (IDW). His all-ages fantasy series CANTO is in development as a feature film, which he is set to adapt. His LGBTQ-led KILLER QUEENS was featured in the New York Times as a must read in honor of Pride Month. A lawyer by training, he lives in Los Angeles with his husband and the true brains behind their operation—their adopted greyhounds.

Drew Zucker is an American based comic book artist.  A 2010 graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, the Co-Creator and artist of CANTO (Dark Horse), The House (Dark Horse/Kickstarter), & Skybreaker (IDW/Monkey Brain).  His work has been featured by IDW Publishing, Dark Horse Comics, Marvel Comics and DC Comics.
