Summary

When rancher Zack Burkhart finds Meg Delaney stranded alone in Yellowstone, he offers her a place to stay. After being dumped by her ex-fianc, Zack's Idaho ranch seems like a blessing--and the tall, quiet rancher makes Meg's heart sing. Common sense tells her to return to Chicago, but sometimes you have to throw your heart on a line to catch a dream.

Author Biography

With her very first essay, Mary Jane Meier succeeded in shocking a nun. The nun happened to be her second grade teacher, and the shock came when our intrepid author impiously advocated cleansing the soul with a “good act of nutrition” (much more fun than contrition).

Ms. Meier soon moved on to short stories featuring a young heroine and her long-suffering horse, dog, or caterpillar. Since then, she has discovered that good-looking men make far more interesting heroes.

She has worked as a medical technologist, managed an office, raised horses, dogs and three socially acceptable children. For recreation, she hikes, skis, reads, and travels. She and her adventurous husband/soul mate reside in Utah, where mountains, canyons and story ideas abound.
