Author Biography

Kalen Chock is a senior concept artist working in video games, feature animation, and film for over 10 years. He has worked for studios like EA/Glu Mobile, DreamWorks, Warner Bros, The Mill, Ember Lab, and ILM. Caves is his picture book debut.

Nell Cross Beckerman is the author of Down Under the Pier, illustrated by Rachell Sumpter, and When the Sky Glows, illustrated by David Litchfield.

She is a former documentary TV producer/director and produced shows and websites for Nickelodeon, MSNBC, MTV, VH1, New Line Cinema, and The Discovery Channel in NYC, where she also co-founded a popular online parenting community, West Village Parents. Today, she lives in Venice Beach, California, with her two daughters and husband, and her Maltipoo, Teddy.
