Author Biography

Simon Pratt-Adams is Director of the PhD Programme, Faculty of Education, Anglia Ruskin University, UK. He teaches and researches about urban education. Recently he has been researching the use of mobile learning technologies in urban contexts. Meg Maguire is Professor of Sociology of Education, king's College London, UK. She teaches and researches issues of policy and practice in urban contexts. She is lead editor or the Journal of Education Policy. Elizabeth Burn is a retired academic with substantial experience of teaching in urban schools and higher education. She has researched extensively in the field of social justice and is now involved in setting up a community theatre for disadvantaged teenagers.
