Author Biography

David Elliott, the grandson of Charles Fairfax Murray, was educated at Marlborough. After Army service in Military Intelligence in Austria, he went into a career in advertising, beginning as a writer and progressing to management positions with the US Interpublic Group of Companies in London, New York and Australia. He then set up a management consultancy in personnel and team motivation, which he ran until his retirement. He now spends his time writing and lecturing on Fairfax Murray, Ruskin and associated 19th century art subjects
