Author Biography

Michel Dovaz is one of France's leading wine experts. He is a wine-taster on the European Grand Jury and has been teaching courses on wine-tasting at the prestigious Academie du Vin in Paris since it was founded in 1973. He is the author of over a dozen books about wine, including Bordeaux, a Legendary Wine (Abbeville Press, 1998) and the highly-esteemed Hachette guide to wines. For the past twenty years, he has contributed to many specialist reviews, notably the Revue du vin de France. Michael Broadbent, Master of Wine, is a Director of Christie's and founder and Chairman of Christie's International Wine Department. Laziz Hamani was born in 1959 in Paris, where he currently lives. Besides his work for magazines and the media, he also pursues his own projects, which have led to a series of personal exhibitions in France and Italy since 1976. He has contributed to several art books published by Assouline.
