Author Biography

Jo Foster grew up in Essex and studied history at Cambridge before spending nearly ten years working on TV history documentaries. Jo is the author of several children’s history books including Why Would a Dog Need a Parachute? Questions and Answers about the Second World War and the series History Spies. When she’s not writing, Jo likes exploring old cities and clambering around ruins. Tom Percival grew up in a remote part of South Shropshire in a small caravan without electricity, mains water or any sensible form of heating. Tom has written and illustrated several picture books as well as the series Little Legends. He also does lots of other bits and pieces, like animation and music production, but let’s not get into all that right now.
