Author Biography

Andrew B. Kipnis is a senior fellow in the Department of Anthropology in the College of Asia and the Pacific at The Australian National University. He is the author of Governing Educational Desire (2011), China and Postsocialist Anthropology (2008) and Producing Guanxi (1997). Since August 2005, he has been co-editor of The China Journal with Luigi Tomba.
