Summary

The Christmas Story is a picture book retelling of Christ's birth in Bethlehem more than two-thousand years ago that is sure to catch the eyes and imaginations of children throughout Advent season. The classic account is divided into twelve two-page readings that combine the interpretive brushstrokes of Italian painter Tommaso d'Incalci with the direct storyteller phrasings of English author Rhona Davies. A verse from the Holman Christian Standard Bible is also featured with each writing.

Author Biography

Rhona Davies is a trained teacher and is actively involved in her local church in Northern England. She writes for children with a keen sense of staying faithful to the spirit of the biblical text. She is married and has teenage sons.

Tommaso d’Incalci was born in Turin. Since 2000 he has worked as an illustrator and has been selected for a number of awards. Tommaso enjoys the cinema, loves animals, and has a passion for the Scriptures. He lives in Italy.
