As she began to comprehend the unfathomable, the depth of his deceit grew, as she realized he had fled with tens of thousands of dollars of her money, forcing her to sell her possessions and move into a dilapidated old house. Their investigation did not go unnoticed, however, and Tom O'Donnell would not allow himself to be caught easily. Seeing as his original plan was to murder Jane as well, he saw no reason not to carry out this act, thus removing the last obstacle to the life he had plotted and murdered to obtain. With everything and almost everyone telling her that her quest was futile, and with a remorseless killer determined to take any action necessary to remain free, time was not on Jane Alexander's side. In fact, she would come to learn that very little was on her side at all.

Author Biography

James Dalessandro was born in Cleveland and educated at Ohio University and UCLA Film School. In 1973, he founded the legendary Santa Cruz Poetry Festival, along with Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Ken Kesey, Allen Ginsberg and Michael McClure.
He was the writer of the "House of Blues Radio Hour," and is currently the instructor of advanced film and television writing at the Academy of Arts University in San Francisco.
A member of the Writer's Guild of America since 1983, he has sold more than a dozen film projects and published four books. He is writer/director/producer of the award-winning documentary film, THE DAMNEDEST, FINEST RUINS. His books include CANARY IN A COAL MINE, (poetry); BOHEMIAN HEART, (a San Francisco noir mystery novel); 1906, a best selling novel that re-creates San Francisco during the great earthquake and fire, and CITIZEN JANE, the true story of a woman who spent 13 years tracking down and putting away the murderer of her 88-year old aunt. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife, Katie.
