Chapters provide the description of each museum and details on how each artifact came to be in that location. A chronological narrative centering on each rare item is then provided, placing the object within the timeline of the war and linking it to a specific event. An appendix contains a guide to battles which are known by various names.

Author Biography

Kenneth D. Alford has written on the treasures and spoils of World War II. He has served as a historical consultant fro television productions involving looted Nazi treasures and for cases involving reparations for World War II looting. Retired from a career in banking, he lives in Richmond, Virginia.
