Summary

While all the other little butterflies are learning how to flutter gently, Cleopatra Silverwing is doing loop-the-loops and fancy dip-flips. But then the wind picks up, and Cleopatra's parents tell her to stay close. Surely one last dip-flip won't hurt, will it? But the gusty wind sweeps her over rivers and mountains and SPLAT! into a gooey swamp. Feisty Cleopatra is in lucksome friendly fireflies help her safely back home, and Cleopatra promises never to fly off alone again until she's older.

Author Biography

Adria Meserve is an exciting new talent in picture books. Adria gained a BA in History of Art at The Courtauld Institute of Art in London and went on to qualify as a teacher at Brighton University. As well as writing and illustrating picture books, she teaches art in North London. Adria is also studying for an MA in Illustration at Brighton University.
