Summary

Cleo is a contemporary mother of teenage children, a farm wife, and a teacher. When the high school sweetheart she married is suddenly gone, she faces life without financial or emotional support. She is caught between the needs of her children, the demands of the farm, and its indebtedness, and her own goals.
