Author Biography

Gail Dayton spent her younger years reading as many books as the library would let her check out (many thanks to the Houston Public Library System, which had no limits and would let her have ten books at once-as many as would fit in her bicycle basket), then changing the endings around to suit herself. Her favorites were the books with magic and adventure-the Red/Blue/Green Fairy Books, Andre Norton and Edgar Rice Burroughs among many, many others. Eventually she reached the point of making up her own stories and writing them down. She currently lives in a very small town in the Texas Panhandle with her husband of many years, eagerly anticipating the soon-to-arrive empty nest. That ought to give her even more time to make up more stories.
