Summary

One day, Bambilina, the oldest hippopotamus in Africa, decided that she had been alone for a long time and wanted to have friends. So, she swam and she swam, letting the current carry her enormous blue body until she arrived at a clearing in the jungle, a place that was inhabited by many animals. When she arrived, Bambilina felt she was the happiest animal on Earth because she had found a place full of friends. However, as they were all different, they decided that the hippopotamus would have to go and live with the females. That is how the animals separated into two groups: males and females. Nevertheless, the females made a difference between the refined females and the normal ones, and at the same time, they made differences between the young and the old, which meant that each new group of animals was smaller... And finally, she was alone again. She would never have thought that having friends was so difficult! However, when she was inconsolably thinking about this, a fish popped up from the water and made her think about the things they had in common, such as the fact that they were both animals, they could both swim and, most important of all, they could be good friends.
