Author Biography

Susan Ireland is a job counselor and resume writer who has authored four books and one CD-ROM on job hunting. Through her writing, workshops, and individual consultations, Susan has helped thousands of people find jobs they love. She has also appeared on TV and radio across the United States to discuss job search issues.

In The Complete Idiot's Guide to Cool Jobs for Teens, Susan relied on the experiences of a number of working teens as well as her own work history. Susan's first job as assistant pastry cook was in her family's hotel in Maine when she was nine years old. Each summer until she graduated from high school, she took a different job within that business while also running a concession stand. She went to Antioch College in Ohio, where she participated in an internship program and held a part-time job.

Susan now lives in California, where she owns a national resume writing and consulting business. Information about her services and her other books can be found on her popular Web site, http://www.susanireland.com.
