Author Profile
Shawn Kent Hayashi is CEO and chief coordinator for the services of The Professional Development Group, a team of twelve training consultants. She also provides coaching, facilitates meetings, and leads the seminar, Talent at Work and has hosted workshops for many top companies.

She serves on the board of the Philadelphia Human Resources Planning Society, is active in the Forum of Executive Women and the Greater Philadelphia Senior Executives Group, and recently was added to the faculty of the Advanced School of Banking with the American Bankers Association. She led a course on Career Development for their recent school in July 2009.

Shawn is active in the Penn Alumni Club of Philadelphia, which includes 35,000+ Penn alumni in the Philadelphia region. She is on the Board of the prestigious group, the Organizational Dynamics Exchange Network (ODEN) at Penn. ODEN creates and offers non-degree seminars, workshops, and other continuing education programs throughout the region for members, and for individuals or organizations in the domestic or global academic, educational, or workplace community.

Shawn is a veteran leader with the Greater Philadelphia Senior Executives Group, a non-profit professional association of 1,100 senior-level executives committed to the exchange of business contacts, fostering career fulfillment, business development, and professional and personal growth.
