Author Biography

Vesanto Melina has taught nutrition at the University of British Columbia and at Seattle's Bastyr University. She is coauthor of the joint position paper on vegetarian diets from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly the American Dietetic Association) and Dietitians of Canada and is a consultant to the Government of British Columbia. Vesanto is also the coauthor of Becoming Vegan, The New Becoming Vegetarian, and Becoming Raw. More information on Vesanto can be found at www.nutrispeak.com. Joseph Forest has over twenty-five years of experience working in fine-dining restaurants and hotels, and as a caterer to Hollywood film crews and stars in Vancouver, Canada.
