Summary

Copanatec is the second book of the series The Timecrack Adventures, which sees the two young brothers, Archie and Richard Kinross, return to New Earth in the next dimension, in the continuing search for their parents who disappeared from an archaeological site in the Yucatan jungle.
The island of Copanatec is home to The Lords of the Cloud, an ancient civilisation, who in their desperation to find a lost, life-giving treasure, have recruited Talon the Slave Master and the brutal Terogs to find it in the tunnels below the pyramid, before it is too late.
Archie and his friend, Kristin, along with the villagers from the mainland of Amasia, are taken by the slave traders and forced to work in the tunnels below the pyramid to find the treasure.
Richard, back on Old Earth, discovers Archie is missing, and along with Chuck Winters, a security specialist, set out on a time travel to the next dimension to find him.
The adventures with its mix of ancient cultures and time travel to new worlds in other dimensions, will appeal to young adults and older readers, alike.

Author Biography

William Long is a retired businessman based in N.Ireland. He had a long and varied career in sales and marketing, running his own business designing and promoting branded goods for high profile companies such as Coca Cola. One of his creations was the internationally famous Five Nations Rugby Championship tie, now regarded as a collector's item.
After surgery for prostate cancer he wrote the story of his experience, and along with a selection of Irish short stories, it was published under the title 'An Unexpected Diagnosis'.
To continue his interest in ancient cultures he has travelled extensively to various countries including America, Canada, Mexico, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Spain, and nearer home, Newgrange in Ireland. All of which, added to a life-long interest in the cosmos and the possibility of parallel universes, led to the idea of creating a series of adventures exploring space and time in new dimensions, known as 'The Timecrack Adventures'.
In the 1960s, after working for Union Carbide in Toronto, he decided to leave and explore the rest of Canada. He contracted to deliver a Volkswagen Beetle to a client, driving alone 3,500 miles to Vancouver. After living and working there for several months, he teamed up with two friends to see more of British Columbia and the USA.
Another 3,500 mile drive saw him cross the southern states from Los Angeles to Miami to deliver a Toyota Landcruiser for the movie producer, George Englund. It was then on to the Bahamas and finally back to Toronto, before returning to N. Ireland.
It was a two-year adventure he sees as a future writing project, once the Timecrack series is complete.
The first book, 'Timecrack', will be followed by 'Copanatec' and 'Varakite', published by BookBaby USA.
