Author Biography


Lucia Zedner is Reader in Criminal Justice, Senior Law Fellow at Corpus Christi College, Oxford and an Associate Member of the Centre for Criminological Research at the University of Oxford. From 1989-94 she was a lecturer at the London School of Economics, and from 1991-94 she was also assistant Director of the Mannheim Centre for Criminology and Criminal Justice. Andrew Ashworth QC, DCL, FBA is Vinerian Professor of English Law at the University of Oxford, and has been an Associate of the Centre for Criminological Research at the University of Oxford since 1980. He is a member of the Sentencing Advisory Panel and of the Criminal Committee of the Judicial Studies Board.
