The study of crime has focused primarily on why particular people commit crime or why specific communities have higher crime levels than others. David Weisburd is Walter E. Meyer Professor of Law and Criminal Justice at the Hebrew University and Distinguished Professor of Criminology, Law and Society at George Mason University.

Elizabeth Groff is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at Temple University.

Sue-Ming Yang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminology at National Chung Cheng University.
