Author Biography

Lisa Katzenberger loves to write stories that make children laugh, escape, and dream. She lives near Chicago with her husband and twin children. She is an instructor for The Writing Barn and serves on the Board of Trustees of her local library. Lisa loves to travel with her family and CROC & GATOR was inspired by a Louisiana swamp tour in 2018. Lisa is also the author of the picture books IT WILL BE OK: A Story of Empathy, Kindness and Friendship, I CAN DO IT EVEN IF I’M SCARED, A LOVE LETTER TO MY LIBRARY, and IT BELONGS TO THE WORLD: Frederick Banting and the Discovery of Insulin.

Mike Ciccotello is the author-illustrator of the picture books TWIN, BEACH TOYS VS. SCHOOL SUPPLIES and the forthcoming LEONARD'S HAUNTED HOUSE. He is also the illustrator of Bridget Heos’s TREEMENDOUS and her SCIENCE BUDDIES series, as well as CHEESE AND QUACKERS, an early graphic chapter-book series written by Sudipta Bardhan-Quallen. Mike is the host of DRAW WITH MR. MIKE, a drawing show for children, and he is also a member of SCBWI and the Rutgers University Council on Children’s Literature (RUCCL). He lives with his wife and twin boys in New Jersey.
