Summary

Welcome to the world of master fabulist Edward Morris, where History has been pulled down a Hieronymus Bosch rabbit-hole and everything makes far too much sense. In this first volume of Morris¿s alternate history tour de force, on an East Coast two centuries after Armageddon, a rogue soldier throws himself back in Time to wreak havoc upon History and feed on the blood in the streets. He lands in the New World with the first white settlers. The Irrakwa try to stop him. And from two centuries ahead, the Law tries to follow him back¿ Dare to step inside. History is only one of the things you will never see in quite the same way again.

Author Biography

Nominated for the 2005 British Science Fiction Association Award, the 2009 Rhysling Award, and the 2009 Bram Stoker Award, Edward R. Morris Jr. has written science fiction, horror and many other cross-genre styles since the age of five.He began the Crooked Man series at age eleven, after being raised on a diet of the greatest science fiction and classical literature in the world. This series taps a gold mine untouched by most, a folkloric yard sale that most people call Central Pennsylvania. All Morris' influences come home to roost in this alternate-history tour de force.. Of the work, the great pulp-fiction craftsman Richard Lupoff has said, "Morris is either a certifiable madman or a complete genius, and I'm putting my money on the latter." To date, Morris has sold fifty-five short stories in four languages and seven countries, including a three-shot run in Murky Depths, two in Interzone, and the Stoker-nominated Sasquatch story "Lotophagi" in the very last issue of the late Farrago's Wainscot.Morris collaborates on a regular basis with Campbell nominee Lou Antonelli, and is a member of the Portland Literary Offensive.(www.portlandlitoffensive.com) He has been a guest writer for two years at Orycon and the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival/Cthulhucon. Most recently, Morris is finishing the Crooked Man series, and developing an alternate history novella about soul singer Jackie Opel.
