Summary

To make room for their expected baby, a family is extending their little house. The bustle and noise of the builders frighten off a pair of robins. Four baby robins are left behind in the nest. 'They will all die, Jimmy, and its our fault, ' Kitty declares. So Kitty and Jimmy decide they must try to save the baby robins. The Crowded Nest by Margaret K. The story parallels a familys preparation for the coming of their new baby to the activities of a pair of robins in a tree outside their little house.
